Are you planning a free long-distance bike-packing trip? Gravel SLT is specially built for gravel exploration. The 35mm rim depth was chosen to better adapt to long-distance riding and to allow the gravel wheelset to play some aerodynamic advantages.
Standard use of ceramic bearings,This is a very important challenge. The use of gravel roads and low tire pressure will have a greater impact on the bearing than a road bike.
RIMS
Gravel SLT wheels choose 35mm depth and 22mm inner width, and can use 700*28C-700*50C tires. inner tires are compatible with tubeless tire.
We use more than 50% of Toray T800 material to ensure the lightness and reliability of the wheel. In addition, the R-angle design is also adopted on the tire installation position on the rim, which has better passability when the tire pressure is low, and at the same time, the impact strength is also greatly improved.
HUB
The Gravel SLT hub is processed by the Elitewheels factory itself. The front and rear hubs are all processed with forged blanks, and use FANUC five-axis CNC processing equipment from Japan. The improvement of processing accuracy can reduce the friction of the bearing and minimize the rolling resistance.
The front and rear hubs are all 24 holes, the front hub axle size is 12*100mm. The rear hub axle size is 12*142mm, which can be converted to QR specifications using adaptors. At the same time, SHIMANO and XDR freebody can also be replaced.
The default is the center lock.
TRANSPORT
The Gravel SLT freebody is a 6 pawls system, in which 3 pawls is a unit, forming two 6 pawls and two units that work with each other, which means that 72 POE_Point of Engagement can be reached. It reduces the ineffective gap when pedaling force.to make the force more direct and minimize power loss improved durability and quicker response.
Both the front and rear hubs of the SLT use ceramic bearings, the outer wall steel frame, and the built-in ceramic balls. The shaft center and hub shell with ultra-high machining accuracy maximize the rolling coefficient of the ceramic bearing.
