FEATURE:
BWT is an innovative wheel set, it has a number of performances such as stability, multi-function, fast speed and bursting. Ideal for climbing and multi-purpose roads.
The BWT is a 45mm deep undulating rim, the BWT RXL45 front wheel is 40mm-45mm undulating type, and the rear wheel is 42-45mm undulating type. That is, the undulating arc of the front wheel has a height difference of 5mm, the lowest point is 40mm, and the highest point is 45mm. The airflow of the front wheels is greater than that of the rear wheels, so the greater the undulating arc, the better the airflow, and the front wheels will be more stable.
At the same time, the undulating shape greatly improves the forward rigidity and side rigidity of the rim.
The standard match of BWT RXL45 is Elitewheels series hub, which uses ceramic bearing and large flange design. You can also choose DT SWISS hubs. Standard use sapim cx ray spokes.
RIMS
BWT’s wheels use a hybrid of Toray carbon fiber T800 and T1000. Therefore, in the undulating shape of BWT, the best carbon fiber stacking method is achieved according to the strength requirements of different positions.
The special undulating shape of the BWT is the best optimization solution for aerodynamics. Both the front wind break and the side wind resistance have been brought into play to the best value. The 28mm rim also optimizes the rolling coefficient of the tire as much as possible.
The outer width of 28mm can adapt to a variety of tires from 700*25C to 700*33C.
BRAKE SURFACE
BWT RXL45 brake surface uses a mixture of 270 degrees Celsius high temperature resin and T800 material, and also adds a drain groove, regardless of dry weather or wet weather, the performance of the brake side has a good performance guaranteed braking distance on slippery roads.
HUB
The road front hubs of Elitewheels are shared. BWT and SLT have the same ceramic bearing. The flange distance of the front hub is maximized to 78mm, which makes the center of gravity of the front wheels more centered, giving the front wheels a good balance at high speeds. It is easier to control the accurate angle when cornering.
The rear hub has a large flange design with a flange diameter of 74mm. Combining with Elitewheels’ CHA drilling technology, with a good spoke angle design, it can increase the driving force arm and improve the driving efficiency of the wheel set.
TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
The BWT RXL freebody has 6 pawls system,all ceramic bearings, in which 3 pawls is a unit, forming two 6 pawls and two units that work with each other, which means that 72 POE_Point of Engagement can be reached. It reduces the ineffective gap when pedaling, and makes the force more direct and minimizes power loss,improves durability and quicker response.
SPOKES:
Standard use SAPIM CX RAY spokes, both front and rear wheels use 2x cross lacing.Hand-built wheel. Each spoke has 16 times tension releases. The deflection of the wheel is guaranteed to be within 0.2mm.
For each pair of BWT wheels, we will give extra gifts: a pair of skewer,tubeless valve,tubeless rim tape and extra spokes.
